New Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch
To omega watches celebrate the anniversary of the first and the only watch worn on the Moon, the Omega company has launched the commemorative version of the Speedmaster - the Speedmaster Professional Chronograph Moonwatch. The timepiece is developed in a limited edition of 5,957 stainless steel pieces. The timepiece so closely related to space history is aimed to join the collections of most avid watch enthusiasts. The Omega Moonwatch features a black dial, chronograph counters and omega watch tachymeter, which were the distinctive features of the initial hand-winding Speedmaster released in 1957. The Omega watch is driven by the prominent Calibre 1861, 'bold' enough to accompany the timepiece into zero gravity.
The Omega Speedmaster allowed to measure speed with chronograph and tachymeter functions - it has proved to be a vital partner for astronauts, pilots, and explorers crossing new boundaries and moving towards ever-higher limits while rolex watches exploring the universe. Omega Speedmaster - 50th Anniversary Version, As a clear hint at the memorable event, the words '50th Anniversary' are featured at the golden seahorse positioned at 12 o'clock on the dial. The counters and the black aluminum tachymeter scale on the bezel fake watches feature Arabic numerals to offer supreme clarity and legibility. The dial of the new Omega Moonwatch has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal provided with anti-reflective treatment. The Omega watch is equipped with the manual-winding movement - Omega Caliber 1861, the movement that powered the initial Omega Speedmaster that traveled to the moon. The stainless steel case of the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch sports the major characteristics of the Speedmaster omega family, including distinctive curved and facetted horns and oversized push-buttons for the chronograph activation. The stainless-steel case back reveals the seahorse medallion and the number of the Limited Series from 0000 to 5957.
The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch is secured to the wrist with a stainless steel bracelet equipped with a foldover clasp, the design of which was suggested by the first solid link bracelet developed omega watch by Omega in the 1960's.
